Solomon Seckler, MD

Dr. Seckler was born in Philadelphia and is excited to be back in Pennsylvania to join the UPMC Plastics team under Dr. Rubin as a visiting faculty scholar. Dr. Seckler completed his undergraduate studies at Columbia University, where he studied political science while conducting health policy research focusing on the FDA drug approval process. He went on to graduate from medical school at The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he conducted research on operative efficiency and free flap reconstruction, before completing a preliminary year in general surgery at The Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. He subsequently moved back to NYC to continue his surgical training at SUNY Downstate.
