Sarah Tepe, DO

Sarah Tepe was born and raised in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. She attended Penn State University for her undergraduate degree where she studied Health Policy and Administration and Biology. After completing her undergraduate degree, she attended medical school at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. During medical school, she decided to pursue a career in surgery. The first two years of General Surgery residency were spent as a resident in the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine General Surgery program. During this time, she spent multiple months with various plastic surgery providers and fell in love with the specialty. After PGY-2 years, she transferred to Allegheny Health Network to complete her surgical training. Sarah has just completed her third year of residency. Sarah is looking forward to joining Dr. Egro at UPMC Mercy for a two-year research fellowship. Her interests include burn and breast reconstruction surgery and hopes to match into a Plastic Surgery fellowship after General Surgery training.
