Sanjana Rajan, MSHI

Sanjana Rajan graduated with a Master’s degree in Health Informatics from Indiana University, Indianapolis, USA, in May 2025. She previously earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, India.

Following her bachelor’s degree, she actively coordinated healthcare initiative projects targeting underserved populations, collaborating with UNICEF and the Spastic Society & Research Centre in Karnataka, India. In her previous experience at Indiana University, Sanjana worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator in virtual reality-based rehabilitation studies. 

Driven by the principle that “good human interaction can be as therapeutic as the intervention itself,” Sanjana is passionate about direct patient engagement and improving healthcare outcomes through compassionate, evidence-based care.

Sanjana is currently a Clinical Research Coordinator in the Department of Plastic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Her research interests focus on advancing clinical trial methodologies to improve data quality and patient safety, thereby enabling effective healthcare interventions and better outcomes across diverse populations.

Outside of work, Sanjana enjoys exploring local coffee shops, baking new recipes, writing poetry, and recording music covers.
