Meeti Mehta is a rising fourth-year medical student and clinical research fellow with the Department of Plastic Surgery. Meeti’s research interests include body contouring after massive weight loss, breast cancer-related lymphedema, pediatric hand trauma, and health disparities.
Meeti grew up in Orlando, FL, and attended the University of Central Florida for her undergraduate degree. She graduated in 2021 with a major in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Psychology. She then matriculated at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, and served as a Social Medicine Fellow, helping to create several community-based health and outreach programs. Meeti also served as a coordinator for the Plastic Surgery Interest Group and partnered with the Department of Plastic Surgery to coordinate the 10th Annual Breast Reconstruction Awareness (BRA) Day gala. Meeti’s hobbies include painting, fashion design, badminton, ice skating, swimming, and exploring national parks.
