Hong Hao (Harvey) Xu is a medical student from Montreal, Canada, and a clinical research fellow within the Department of Plastic Surgery. With an MD/MBA background, Harvey is excited about research into health services, outcomes, and innovative technologies such as AI and robotics. Here at Pitt, Harvey will be doing research in craniofacial surgery and head & neck reconstruction.
Prior to this fellowship, Harvey received college and medical education in the neighbouring Canadian system. He is drawn to Pitt’s pronounced spirit of innovation, leadership, and mentorship. Formerly a competitive fencing athlete representing Canada, Harvey nowadays enjoys tennis, boxing, running, and skiing. He is also passionate about music, mixing and producing as a freelance DJ. He is excited about his time in Pittsburgh!
