Henry Ludwig, MPH, CCRP

Henry Ludwig is currently a medical student at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine pursuing his M.D. Degree. Being born and raised in the suburbs of Indianapolis, he obtained his Bachelor's of Science in Biological Engineering from Purdue University. He also obtained his Master of Public Health degree from Purdue University with a concentration in Family and Community Health.

He actively serve as one of the coordinators for the Plastic Surgery Interest Group at Pitt Med where he is excited to improve mentorship and expand opportunities for students to gain exposure to plastic surgery. He is also a member of the Student Admissions Team for Pitt Medicine where he works alongside school administration to help improve the admissions process for prospective students and support the recruitment of future students by organizing events and applicant engagement opportunities.

Prior to starting medical school, he spent roughly five years working as a clinical research coordinator at the Indiana University School of Medicine where he was first exposed to the world of plastic surgery. At IU, he worked alongside Dr. Gayle Gordillo on several different clinical projects related to wound healing treatments and diabetic foot care. His research interests include burn surgery, complex wound healing, and novel therapies for the treatment of infected wounds.

In his free time, he loves to go cycling around Pittsburgh, watch movies, and explore new restaurants around the city.
